Leaders from the Local Governments and Municipal Authorities (LGMA) Constituency gathered in a special session on November 13th at the World Leaders Climate Action Summit (WCAS) at COP29.

In response to the global climate crisis, Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike and Yana Garcia, Secretary for Environmental Protection at the California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA), emphasised the critical importance of multilevel cooperation and urged local governments to take immediate action to combat climate change.
